Frequently Asked Questions

GhostOdds is a pseudonymous prediction market on Solana. You can trade on the outcomes of real-world and on-chain events — like whether Bitcoin will hit a certain price, or whether a token will reach a given market cap — using USDC. No account, no KYC, just your Solana wallet.
Every market is a binary question: Will X happen by date Y? You buy YES or NO shares for between $0 and $1 each. If the market resolves in your favor, each share pays exactly $1. Shares are priced by an Automated Market Maker (AMM) based on supply and demand — so prices reflect real-time market sentiment.
Crypto price markets resolve automatically via Pyth Network oracle feeds. At the exact expiry timestamp, the on-chain resolver reads the Pyth price and compares it to the target. If the condition is met, YES wins. If not, NO wins. No human committee, no voting, no dispute window. Resolution happens in seconds.
The minimum trade size is $1 USDC. There's no maximum, though very large trades on low-liquidity markets will move the price significantly (that's by design — the AMM reflects real supply and demand).
GhostOdds charges a 2% fee on every trade. There are no deposit or withdrawal fees, no subscription fees, and no hidden charges. The fee is taken at trade time and is visible in the trade preview before you confirm.
No. GhostOdds has no KYC, no identity verification, no email sign-up, and no personal data collection. You connect a Solana wallet and start trading. Your wallet address is your entire identity on this platform.
GhostOdds supports all major Solana wallets: Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack. Any wallet that implements the Solana Wallet Adapter standard should work. We recommend Phantom for new users.
The team is fully decentralized and pseudonymous. We work remotely across multiple time zones. We chose pseudonymity by principle — we believe projects should be judged by their code, audits, and on-chain results, not LinkedIn profiles.
We collect minimal data. We do not collect any identity information. We use Cloudflare Analytics for aggregate site traffic (no fingerprinting). If you submit your email on the beta waitlist, we store it solely for beta access notifications. Wallet addresses are public blockchain data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The GhostOdds smart contract has been reviewed for security. No critical or high-severity issues were found. All accounts are properly validated, arithmetic uses u128 to prevent overflow, and PDA ownership is enforced throughout. That said, prediction markets involve real financial risk — only trade what you can afford to lose.
No. All user funds are held in Program Derived Addresses (PDAs) — on-chain vaults controlled solely by the program logic. There are no admin drain keys, no multisig with our keys, and no mechanism for us to withdraw user funds. The contract code is open source on GitHub.
Yes. Prediction markets are inherently risky. If you buy YES and the market resolves NO, your shares expire worthless. Only trade amounts you are comfortable losing entirely. This is not financial advice. Do your own research.
No. GhostOdds is not a regulated financial service. We do not provide financial advice. Trading on prediction markets involves significant risk. Users from restricted jurisdictions (including the USA and UK) are prohibited from using the platform. Use GhostOdds at your own risk and ensure compliance with your local laws.
Solana only. We chose Solana for its sub-second finality, sub-cent transaction fees, and the availability of Pyth oracle feeds for fast, accurate price resolution. Cross-chain support via Wormhole is on the roadmap for 2026.
Pyth Network. Pyth provides institutional-grade price feeds with ~400ms update frequency, trusted by $100B+ in DeFi. Unlike human-voting oracles like UMA (which Polymarket uses, and which was exploited for $7M in 2025), Pyth feeds are deterministic and manipulation-resistant.
The GhostOdds program is open source and deployed on Solana devnet at FU64EotiwqACVJ9hyhH6XA9iiqQKmWjmPTUmSF1i3ar9. Source code is available on GitHub at github.com/ghost-odds/ghostodds.
Resolution happens at the exact expiry timestamp. A resolver crank runs continuously and triggers resolution within seconds of expiry. Winnings are claimable immediately after resolution — no waiting period, no approval queue.
GhostOdds is currently in closed beta. Visit the homepage and enter your email to join the waitlist. Beta invites are sent in batches. Alternatively, if you already have access, simply connect your Solana wallet on the Markets page.
The current version runs on Solana devnet with real smart contract logic and working oracle integration — it's a functional beta, not a demo. Mainnet launch with real USDC is planned for Q2 2026 following a final security review.
Beta season data (leaderboards, stats) will be preserved as a historical record but positions will not carry over — mainnet is a fresh deployment with real USDC. Closed beta participants will receive priority access and potential airdrop eligibility.

Not yet. The web app is mobile-responsive and works well on mobile browsers with Phantom's in-app browser. A native mobile app is planned for Q3 2026.
